Your therapist will help you understand the root of the issues you bring to the counselling room and support you with strategies for addressing these issues in ways that bring your closer. You will be asked thoughtful questions, provided with practical tools, and guided through meaningful exercises to deepen your connection to one another and strengthen your ability to navigate differences. By striking a careful balance between past, present, and future,
your therapist will help you to heal past hurts, give and receive love in the present, and create and intentional future based on your shared relationship goals.
Our relationship therapists utilize various therapeutic modalities including Gottman Method Couples Counselling, Emotionally Focused Couples Counselling, Mindfulness Centered Couples Therapy, and Sex Therapy. We know that every relationship is unique with its own history and set of strengths & challenges, so your therapist will take time to get to know you and your relationship to tailor their approach to your unique relationship needs.
Communication & Conflict Management
We provide a neutral but structured space for partners to express their perspectives and experiences with the support of a therapist. Learn to identify unhelpful communication patterns and effective communication strategies like active listening, empathy, validation, and how to clearly and productively express your needs.
LGBTQ+
We provide affirming, and inclusive support that acknowledges and respects the differences in identity and experiences of folks in the LGBTQ+ community. This work empowers couples to advocate for their needs in productive ways, giving them the skills to create intentional, authentic, and emotionally safe relationships.
Infidelity & Betrayal
Taking a non-judgemental approach, we will help you process and understand the impact of infidelity and betrayal. We will explore what happened, the context in which it happened, and strategies for repairing, rebuilding trust, and working to avoid future recurrences.
Non-Monogamy
We offer accepting and knowledgeable care for partners who are looking to strengthen their relationship(s). Whether you are working on establishing agreements, processing jealousy, unlearning compulsory monogamy & mononormativity, balancing schedules, or communication, we are here to help!
Parenting
We support parents in learning how to effectively work together to navigate the challenges of raising children in today’s world. You will learn to communicate more effectively, play to one another’s strengths, tolerate differing approaches, and, most importantly, protect your relationship with your children and one another.
Sex & Intimacy
Very few people have been taught how to communicate about sex & intimacy and, therefore, don’t know where to start when their sex life is struggling. We will help you identify the barriers to a fulfilling sex life, support you with strategies to enhance your sex & intimacy, and teach you the communication skills you need to maintain your progress.
