I am currently unable to accept new clients. Please consider one of my wonderful colleagues instead.

I work with folks navigating the challenges which often show up at midlife. They are hoping to find relief from what feels unmanageable: too many demands but too little time or energy; health concerns; major life transitions; career issues; burnout. These once high-functioning folks feel like they are dropping balls, and often struggle with anxiety and stress, relationship challenges; constant rumination, brain fog, and mental, emotional, and physical depletion. As a result, they experience overwhelm, guilt, shame, grief, and become disconnected from the person they were and the people and things they love.

I also support clients with broad histories of chronic or single-episode trauma. Immigration can also be considered a series of traumatic events, and like any trauma, folks typically experience a change in or loss of identity, loss of support, feeling split between the old and the new, guilt and shame, stress, fear and overwhelm. Regardless of your story, each of us has a past, present, and future which we hold alongside joy and pain. Our work will provide opportunities to grieve what you’ve lost, and to integrate all the pieces of your life into a whole that provides meaning and comfort for you.

A Typical Session May Look Like

I prioritize our therapeutic relationship. This means centering your needs, goals, preferences, and giving you a voice to feel supported and empowered. This safe, attuned, confidential space designed just for you, provides the opportunity to share information that’s difficult to share, and to get the feedback that leads to meaningful change. We will co-create a healthy, safe, professional attachment relationship, giving us a solid foundation for our work together and for you to implement with your close others when you feel ready. I will approach you with curiosity to gain a holistic view of your life and experiences so I can adjust to your unique needs. I will share practical tools and suggestions for symptom relief, and weave psychoeducation into our work to expand your understanding. I make room for emotion to show up, and I hold the distressing ones with you while you learn to tolerate what feels uncomfortable. I might invite you to lean into your body and how emotions show up there to bridge the gap between body and mind. There will be moments of laughter and breakthrough. We may share stories and tears. I will challenge your thinking and celebrate your wins. I will meet you with care, attentiveness, openness, and respect.
