Cynthia supports clients across Canada.
I am deeply passionate about helping you understand the “why” behind your patterns so you can choose a different “how” for your future. My therapeutic philosophy blends clinical insight with a compassionate, body aware approach. Together, we work to loosen the grip of old patterns and build the coping skills needed for a resilient and meaningful life.
My approach is integrative and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from Mindful Self Compassion, ACT, CBT, Solution-Focused, Gottman Method, Relational Life Therapy, and the Developmental Model for couples. Whether you’re navigating trauma, relationship challenges, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, or a difficult life transition, I offer a steady and authentic partnership in your healing.
I believe insight becomes transformative when paired with practical growth. I find deep professional satisfaction in helping clients cultivate self-compassion, increase psychological flexibility, and develop coping strategies that support long‑term wellbeing. By exploring how past experiences shape present‑day responses, we work together to build a life defined by resilience rather than old patterns.
A Typical Session May Look Like
My first priority is that you feel understood, seen, and accepted for who you are, and that you know I genuinely want what’s best for you. You may be coming to therapy because something needs to change or that an event is overwhelming, but at the beginning we are still strangers, so I take a gentle, steady approach as I earn your trust. This means I’ll speak openly and kindly, with your wellbeing at the center, even when we don’t see things the same way.
In our sessions, I focus on creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where you feel supported, empowered, and genuinely understood. Your needs, goals, and preferences guide our work together. This is a confidential space where you are the focus. It is a place to bring what feels overwhelming, heavy, or complicated. We’ll explore what has been hard to carry alone and receive thoughtful feedback that supports meaningful change. Together, we build an environment that helps you meet all parts of yourself with compassion and curiosity.
You can expect a mix of resources, recommendations, education, soft inquiry, and insightful exchange. I approach you with wonderment to understand your experiences in a way that gives me an idea of who you are. I will adjust to your unique needs. We make room for insight, emotions, and sometimes discomfort, and I sit with you through the hard moments while you learn to navigate them with more confidence. I may invite you to tune into your body, noticing how emotions show up there. Throughout our work, I will ask thoughtful questions, offer perspectives, and celebrate your progress as you strengthen your relationship with yourself and others.

We Might Be A Good Fit If
You want someone who gets that life is messy because they’ve lived through the messy themselves.
You want a therapeutic relationship rooted in the understanding that we’re equals in this life.
You want someone who can push you when it’s helpful and soften when that’s what you need, someone who can read you well and move fluidly between clarity and gentleness.
You want someone who cares about you authentically, and believes you’re capable of healing, growing, and making real, lasting change.
You want someone who can sit with all your intricacy, the messy parts, the contradictions, and everything that refuses to fit the mold.
You want a couple’s therapist who can guide you in developing healthier relationship patterns, offering evidence based strategies, attuned support, and a clear roadmap for change.
